Charter Prices in Croatia – What to Expect

How Much Does a Boat Charter in Croatia Cost? Charter prices in Croatia depend on several factors, including the type and size of the boat, charter period, sailing route, and additional services. While the charter fee covers the use of the vessel itself, there are several variable costs that guests should consider when planning their sailing budget. We are happy to provide detailed price information and tailored offers upon request, depending on your preferred boat, route, and charter duration.

Mooring and Anchorage Costs

Mooring and anchorage costs in Croatia vary depending on the size of the boat, location, and season. Below is an approximate overview of typical costs you can expect during your charter:

  • Berth in a marina: approx. 50 – 70 € per day (for boats up to 45 feet)
  • Berth in a marina: approx. 70 – 110 € per day (for boats over 45 feet)
  • Town port mooring: approx. 50 – 80 € per day
  • Mooring buoys: approx. 20 – 60 € per day
  • Anchoring: generally free of charge, except in bays with regulated concessions or buoy systems
  • National Parks: entrance fees apply for all boats. For vessels up to 17 m, daily fees are typically 80 – 90 € if paid in advance (online). On-site payments may be significantly higher. Multi-day tickets are often more cost-effective if they fit your itinerary.

Note: Mooring prices listed above apply mainly to monohull sailing yachts. Catamarans are usually 50–100% more expensive, depending on width and marina.

Note2: Our advice to book berths in advance if possible.

Fuel Consumption

Fuel costs depend largely on the boat type, engine size, and sailing route you choose. The more you sail and rely on wind, the lower your fuel consumption will be. Approximate weekly fuel costs:

Sailing yachts

  • Up to 45 feet: 150 – 200 € per week
  • 50 feet and above: 200 – 350 € per week

Catamarans

  • Up to 45 feet: 200 – 300 € per week
  • 45 feet and above: 250 – 500 € per week

Motor boats

  • Fuel consumption varies significantly depending on cruising speed and engine power
  • Typical daily fuel costs can range from 80 € to 300 €+ per day, depending on distance and usage
  • Motorboat routes are usually shorter, but fuel use is higher compared to sailing yachts

We are happy to advise on route planning and cruising speed to help optimize fuel costs.

Food & Drinks Onboard

Food and drinks are an area where guests can significantly control their overall charter budget. Most boats are equipped with a kitchen, allowing you to prepare meals onboard. Many guests choose to:

  • cook breakfast and some meals on the boat
  • enjoy lunches or dinners in local restaurants
  • combine onboard cooking with dining ashore

A useful tip is to purchase water, drinks, and basic supplies at the start of the trip, while buying fresh produce locally along the route.

We proudly collaborate with local Istrian producers, and guests can order high-quality regional products through our partner madeinistra.com This allows you to enjoy authentic Istrian food and drinks delivered directly for your sailing holiday.

Eating out (approximate costs):

  • Lunch: 15 – 20 € per person
  • Dinner: 30 – 50 € per person
